1st anniversary

Jungle jive
Time flies! Mr. C and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary Sunday 1st December. Traditionally known as the paper anniversary but hey, it would be so very predictable if the present were of the paper/stationery variety.
So instead my old favourite, a helium balloon. This time I got to pick the one I wanted and I chose the leaping tiger that was swaying along with a myriad of other animals, hearts and champagne glasses.

I call him jungle jive and he makes a nice addition to the textile birds, stuffed teddy bears and real live urban mini panther, our cat Rufus.

    1. Anniversaries are a wonderful excuse for receiving lovely presents. Daily life with tiny momemets of joy is what really matters. But you and the cat boys know all about seizing the day...

    1. My favourite thing about blogging is the exchange of cultural curiosities, in this case your comment on seeing a ballon like this for the first time. Which makes me wonder if the popularity of these ballons is limited to a particular country or region. Slovenia happens to be full of them! In shopping malls, amusement parks and street vendors (Christmas and summer markets) and they literally come in all shapes and sizes: Disney & Pixar charcacters as well as Hello Kitty are super popular!

      Happy December!
      hugs, Ana

  4. I´m late, I´m late I know with my Happy First Anniversary Greetings to You and Your Husband!
I hope, and somehow I know, that you will keep record of all the anniversaries that are to follow.
I never did, and I simply don´t remember how we celebrated ours over the years.
However, I remember the 30 th Wedding Anniversary. Business class flight to Copenhagen, a stay at the finest hotel, and I received my big pearl necklace.
I still like the necklace, it was worth waiting for - 30 years, heh!

    1. Mette, it's something to look forward then :-D the 30th anniversary! Like you said, we'll probably celebrate each one, maybe some will be more extravangant than others, but for the first one, I'm delighted with "Jungle jive" especially since Mr. Santa has a more extravagant gift lined up. But I'll keep it as a surprise for now for the blog readers.
