Did you paint the eggs in the bowl? I like the unusual colours. I am trying to decide whether the village church has an octagonal tower whatever a great design.
Wishing you and all your family a Happy Easter.Ida
Ida: These eggs are a national speciality, cooked in red onion peelings. Raw eggs are adorned with various flower petals, leaves, grasses then they are bundled tightly in old stockings and cooked in a pot filled with red onion peelings. I have never done any research on this but I presume this method of colouring is present in most of the former Eastern communist countries where egg dye wasn't available and people resorted to various methods of egg decoration. Mette: Thank you, I hope you and your family had a lovely celebration as well. The landscape picture is a photo of my mum's village. Very peaceful and stress free!
