By mere chance, I googled my blog ages ago. I was shocked. At that time, I had no idea, that my thoughts and posts are there on the open for anyone to read. I felt like digging a hole in the ground and hide. Well, that was a long time ago. Today, I don´t want to think about it. If someone happens to find my blog and recognizes me, can´t help it. Or - did you mean, that have we googled our real name? Done that too, just awful, grr.
I meant your real name and yes mine does link to my blog even though I use an alias when posting. I must have revealed my real name in comments or writing on the blog so that Google search engine tied it all together. It was a shock for me too!
One of the reasons I keep my blog anonymous is because I've googled myself and I was shocked at just how much information is out there for anyone to find. I can't keep it all a secret but I try at least to keep my "public" information separate from the personal thoughts that I post on my blog!
Now I'm really curious ;-) I think that even though you maintain a high level of privacy on your blog, you have a very open approach when it comes to sharing ideas and thoughts. I often wonder whose face is behind the cheerful yellow flower avatar.
Like I wrote in my reply to Mette's comment: my name does tie to my blog even though I use an alias. I was a bit shocked. It isn't like I have something to hide but it felt a bit strange.
I love playing the Google game. It's made even more interesting now b/c Google knows who I am on the computer I'm at. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amy, first time commenter I think?
DeleteYes, it's scary just how much info about us is out there at the click of a button...
