Montenegro December 2012 |
I feel spent, exhausted and because there are too many things, moving too fast I'm no longer in control of it all. I know I've sort of pushed my blog on the side and I believe it isn't fair to just pop in from time to time and give tidbits of info which then make no sense.
As the weather is finally gorgeous, lots of sun and nature virtually exploding all around, I've just taken the time to enjoy myself and tune off completely. No more schedules, planning, calculating, pondering....
Blogging schedule will resume, once I've had time to catch my breath and come up with quality content that doesn't make me sound neurotic (too much)
In the meantime enjoy your May break :-) Spring is finally here!
xoxo Ana
Hi Ana!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sun and the "free time". I know exactly what you are talking about. This slight pressure that is always there, the next posting waiting to be published ... the rare free time after work ...
Spring is already gone in Vienna, it's Summer!
SPF 50 in need. :)
:)
I never replied to your email, I am so sorry! There was just too much going on, I was travelling back and forth and lost track. I guess shared the same awful exhausting winter-spring-months with lots of grey skies.
After a "6 month-sabbatical" I started to blog again. But I feel like moving to wordpress. Something feels wrong with blogspot to me, mainly because of the way pictures are presented. I will keep you informed!
Meanwhile enjoy the sun, you deserved it and happy gardening!
Paula
Paula,
Deletethanks for encouraging words, I just got back from a long weekend at my mum's where I enjoyed the sun and lots and lots of gardening :-)
I'm so happy to read your schedule has cleared up too :-)
Oh how relaxed and peaceful you look in the picture. Enjoy the sun! No pressures! Life is too short. Blogging should be something we want to do; not something we feel forced to do. I'm feeling the same way right now; much prefer being in the sunshine and fresh air. Like you, I want to have meaningful content on my blog, not just post for the sake of it!
ReplyDeleteSanda this was taken on 20th December in Bar, Montenegro where I enjoyed a quick break from winter sitting at a cafe near the beac with a balmy 12 degrees Celsius. No wonder I look peaceful ;-)
DeleteAna,...such incredible scenery. Cats say you have worked too hard and deserve the rest. They wish they were there to rub your shoulders. Enjoy that beautiful sun. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwwww.... both Mr. Sweet pants and puffy pants are most welcome, we'll stay in bed napping and listening to the soothing words of Gibran :-)
DeleteWhat a great photo, of you relaxing in the sunshine. I completely understand the need for a sabbatical, but I don't mind occasional posts at all, so if you feel like putting a post up now and then to keep in touch, I would love that. No pressure though. I'm actually in a similar situation myself but haven't yet decided whether to take a sabbatical or just post infrequently.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I don't believe I'll disappear completely, just putting my anxiety out in the blogosphere feels liberating. Especially since the comments I've received on this post show that we've all been there at one point. I just one to not feel like a hamster on a running wheel
DeleteYes, we've all been there. I did decide to close mine own though -- the last good bye post is up with photos of the final version of the MOTB outfit, in case you'd like to see it.
DeleteYou have certainly earned a break,relax,have fun,enjoy.Judith
ReplyDeleteJudith I most certainly will :-))) Wishing you the very same!

Hello, I hope you have a lovely sabbatical and come back feeling refreshed and recharged!
ReplyDeleteAll the best x
Thanks so much! With this warm and sunny weather, I love the thought of long walks and exercise and coffee with friends.
DeleteI agree with all the others. Feel free to keep the break in blogging. No explanations needed.
ReplyDeleteHappy spring!
Mette, you always know just what to say to make me feel better about myself instantly!
