Can I just post some pictures of the stuff I made with my soup and skip the part where I explain what, why and where?
A quick reminder, this is the bead soup I received from my partner
Agata:
and this is what I made:
|
the entire soup |
|
earrings: goldstone, green agate and copper discs |
|
mix & match necklace |
|
handmade glazed ceramic heart |
|
focal, lava stones, quartz chips, crystal and hematite |

How will it end? I had a bit of soup left and started on this project that was meant to be a bracelet. I used a technique I saw in the first reveal but somehow I gut stuck mid project. I played around with various options that didn't quite work. So I thought I'd ask you, dear bead soup fans and readers:
|
unfinished bead soup |
How would you finish this project?
I've gathered some coordinating beads
and I'm most eager to hear your thoughts and ideas. Throw your
suggestion in the hat and out of all the ideas gathered I'll select one
at random and the winner will receive the finished project.
And now that you've seen my soup, ho over to Lori's blog for a complete list of all the participants:
Beads soup summer 2012: 2nd reveal.
Ana! What a beautiful necklaces! I think that the one with heart is more in my style, but the one with clock is more elegant :)
ReplyDeleteI think that you should finish the bracelet in the techinque you started, because pearls look stunning. I'll add some dark purple beads or vanila.
PS Yes, I've never work with gold and bronze, but now I'm going to do it more :)
The earrings are just stunning. Love the earthy tone colors. And do Finush the piece. How about a simple necklace ?
ReplyDeleteI like how you're straight to the point! I'm such a fan of that darling clock pendant and I think you did a beautiful job incorporating it into that necklace :)
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite of your pieces is the mix and match necklace; it's so colorful!
Happy Hopping :)
Wow, I especially love the mix and match necklace.
ReplyDeleteDeb x
I love your mix and match necklace..it's so eclectic and fun at the same time. I love how you added a few beads to the butterfly on this one, too. Very cute. I love the pairing of the agate and copper too, so pretty together. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comment..life can be rough sometimes.. we all need to celebrate and remember the good times! Hugs,
ReplyDeletejenni
What fun! Lovely necklaces full of whimsy, but those earrings are so great. Love the copper disks and the colors remind me of summer fruit. Makes me crave fruit salad or an umbrella drink.
ReplyDeleteLovely creations! The necklace with the heart focal has such interesting colors. The unfinished piece looks very promising too. How about trying kumihimo braid to finish up the bracelet?
ReplyDeleteMix and match necklace is the best!!!!Regards from Poland, Dorota
ReplyDeleteOoh, love what you made, especially the earrings. That unfinished necklace looks intriguing. I have no idea how to complete it though, but I'm sure you'll be inspired by great ideas soon enough.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklaces and the earrings are great fun. I'd maybe get extra chain from your own stash and make a layered bracelet.
ReplyDeleteLove your work
ReplyDeleteEspecially like the necklace with the butterfly
Delicious Soup !
m.e. :)
Great work! I really like the mix and mach necklace. For the unfinished necklace, I would place the pendant mid-chain and use the mix and match style opposite the pearl weave. Maybe add some silk cord with seed beads and crystals knotted here and there, and finally put a pretty clasp in the front of the necklace.
ReplyDeleteNice work. Love the earrings.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the mix and match necklace! I also love the focal necklace with the different elements and how you brought it all together. I love what you have going with the bracelet and I don't think I would change a thing.
ReplyDeleteHello, Slovenian girl! Nice work, I like your pieces. For the unfinished piece I would leave it simple and continue it with those pink (?) round beads and wire or ribbon.
ReplyDeleteGreat work! I love your earring designs! For the unfinished piece I would keep the pattern going!
ReplyDeleteYour pieces are so happy! Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteVery nice necklaces.I love the earrings
ReplyDeleteThe unfinished piece is going to be beautiful I bet.If I had to finish it I wouldn't know what to do,but I wish it was on my table and I could play with it:)
Lovely pieces! I really lie the more colorful necklace with the heart pendant. I would probably finish the unfinished piece symmetrically like the other end and maybe double up the chain to balance it.
ReplyDeleteLovely work. I would need to handle the unfinished pieces to come up with a suggestion to finishing that necklace. But it sure looks like you are off to a great start. I especially like the earrings with the wavy copper discs!
ReplyDeleteLove the earrings with the copper and goldstone and the mix and match necklace :) Great bead soup!
ReplyDeleteThese necklaces are lovely! Great job. As for the last piece I would continue with what your doing and may be use the blue beads to complement it somehow.
ReplyDeleteLove the heart and butterfly necklace, very whimsical...the copper earrings are great too!
ReplyDeletelove the heart necklace and the earrings!
ReplyDeletebeautiful pieces!!
ciao dall'Italia
Great job on your pieces. They all are so fun & colorful. I see a bracelet in your unfinished piece.
ReplyDeleteI would turn the unfinished piece into a bracelet. Half the bracelet is the beadweaving piece, the other half the bracelet is the wire only with wired beads to jangle like a charm bracelet. or If the bead weaving section is too long, make a double ring bracelet that clasps together as one...one ring around being the beadweaving part, the other ring around being the charm like section.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the other pieces! Love what you came up with!
i love everything u made..!! i think you did a wonderful job with all...
ReplyDeleteI love what you made - all of it. I agree with Min - make a breacelt with what you started - that beads and jump ring part is so cool!
ReplyDeleteReally like the earrings you created! Nice colour combination! :)
ReplyDeleteLove those wavy discs but I never know how to use them. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteLove both necklaces and the earrings! Can't wait to see how you finish the last project. I've been wanting to try that technique.
ReplyDeleteI used the same technique from Leslie in my bead soup. I think you could use the copper chain on the other side and make it work. Check mine out at heavenlanecreations.com. Good work. Loved the clock piece.
ReplyDeleteI love the focal in the first necklace, and you used it in a wonderful way. I love those earrings. You really made the elements work. Very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely design!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love those necklaces (that mix and match is calling my name!) I have no idea how to finish the other one, looks like you have it under control! You've got awesome talent -- thanks so much for playing!
ReplyDeletebeautiful work! love those earrings!
ReplyDeleteOh, the heart necklace and the earrings are by far my favorite! Great job with your delicious soup!
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job with your soup. I love the necklace and earrings! I'm not sure how to finish that wonderful technique you are working on. If you make a necklace you could add chain on the other side and also hang the large arrow-like piece as the focal, or maybe finish it off as a bracelet as it is. Whatever you decide I think it's going to be great.
ReplyDeletereally beautiful work on these. such fun pieces and very creative. ~diana
ReplyDeleteI love what you did!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pieces but your clock necklace is really more my style. As far as the bracelet, I really think that I would turn it into a focal on a simple chain.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I can't decide which necklace I like best, the clock focal or the heart...
ReplyDeleteVery nice soup, love the earrings!
ReplyDeleteThose are some fabulous designs. I'm quite partial to the necklace with the clock on it. There's something so simple, yet so intricate about it. I can tell you really thought about your designs and came up with some beautiful pieces. Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace and earrings, love them all:)
ReplyDeletevery cool soup!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job!! I love the heart necklace! What about going
ReplyDeleteasymmetrical with the remaining goodies?

Love those earrings !
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your soup...I really like all the color you have in the necklace!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your pieces. So many pretty gemstones - you really did it all justice. As for the last project - just let it sit for a few days and one day you'll look at it and you will see it finished in your mind and it'll all work out just fine.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
such a great style you have. These turned out great. My favorite piece is the last one with the watch pendant. I am never good with asymmetry and you have done an absolutely beautiful job. These pieces look like something I would wear with a free flowing fabric and out on the beach (not that I live anywhere near one) but just what I picture. I love them all. I have no idea how I would finish with what is left over but going off of what you have started, just follow it. Just add components in a random fashion and it will look great.

Great job with your soup. I love the necklace, I can't do asymmetry - it makes me twitch, but it really looks great. I have no ideas for how to finish them off though.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the mixtures of shapes and colors in the heart necklace especially. I see that in the bracelet you have started. Go with it -- you are off to a terrific start on that one, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI like them all, necklacewith clock-focal my favourite!
ReplyDeleteBut, you know what! That same design stuck me on the first reveal, I did not try it yet but surely will!
I'm eager to find out what you are making :-D
Are fantastic pieces !Congrats!
ReplyDeleteYou have made some really neat pieces I like the clock necklace especially
ReplyDeleteJackie
Great designs and I love the mix and match necklace and the earrings.
ReplyDeleteYou rocked those necklaces!
ReplyDeleteWOW! these are both gorgeous! I'm really crushin' on the mix and match necklace.
ReplyDeleteLove your necklaces, especially the mix n match one, and the earrings are very cute too! As for the WIP, what if you did a double wrap style, with different sections for each half a wrap? Say, the bead-woven section, a strung section, a charm section, a wire-wrap section?
ReplyDeleteAll you pieces are lovely. I decide On a favorite. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job at your creations.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time designing things without actually 'holding' them in my hand... sorry!!
Love both your necklaces, but that first "soupy" one really speaks to me. Wonderful! I'm going to have to "yeah that" beadrecipe's idea...that was my thought also for the bracelet. The start looks great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on each and every piece -- I especially love the first pendant with the uber-cool focal. Outstanding job!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on that soup, my favorite is the mix and match necklace, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSonya
Beautiful. I love the earrings and the mix and match necklace.
ReplyDeleteOh my I loved each piece! My favorites are the first one...it has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it and the one with the butterfly...it is so whimsical!!
ReplyDeleteYummy bead soup! Love your creations! My favorite is the mix and match necklace and I love those copper disc earrings! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun. I love how all of the designs come out of the soup! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteKris
lovely!! the first I think is my favorite but both are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs! Luv the vibe of the earrings!
ReplyDeleteI love your asymmetrical pieces. The gemstones are yummy (especially those earrings!) and your designs are fab.
ReplyDeletevery pretty! i adore that heart pendant!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you crack me up with the 'can I skip this part'! Yes, you can, because you did such a great job creating your pieces! I like what you started with the Gossiping Goddess tute, and I just saw another blog where she use it as a part of a necklace. Here's the link: http://heavenlanecreations.com/
ReplyDeleteMaybe something like that. Now you know I'm going to sit here waiting on you to finish and post it too! :)
Love the necklace. That clock focal is fabulous. And the earrings are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how you incorporated the copper discs in the earrings and I love all the wire wrapping!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are my favourite! Great colour palette for the necklace with the heart focal.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, so fun that you've made some of your soup available for us to virtually design....Can I confess though I don't have a clue I think I'm on bead soup goodness overload! Best of luck ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that mix and match necklace!!!
ReplyDeleteNice work Ana! I really love the earrings with the goldstone, green agate and copper discs. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Ana,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces. I love the mix and match necklace and the earrings so pretty. I like what you have started on your bracelet, but I would turn it into a necklace. I would finish it up with the pearls maybe in a different color and add another piece of chain and a clasp then hang the house focal from the middle of the pearl part with a jump ring bail.
Therese
